Tazewell County 911 has been handling emergency calls in Tazewell County since April 23, 1997.  We currently process over 9,000 emergency calls a year.  The 911 Center dispatches Fire, Police, and Rescue for emergency calls.

Requests for Incident Reports or Recordings will be given only by court subpoena.  This is to protect the confidentiality and security of any persons calling the 911 center.  Any complaints or questions regarding the service of 911 please contact the Coordinator.

The 911 Center is currently readdressing Tazewell County from the rural route system to a physical address.  Your local Postmaster will inform you of a mailing address change.  The new physical address will be your new mailing address, but do not start using this without checking with your local Postmaster.  This is being done nationwide and is dictated by federal and state laws.  Upon receiving your new physical address it must be posted on your residence in plain view within 30 days.  If your residence is not visible from the road addressed, please post your numbers at the entrance to your driveway and on your residence.  This allows responders to find your residence faster and possibly your life.  Any question or complaints please contact the Mapping/ Addressing Coordinator.
