Frog Level

Frog Level is one of those memorable idiosyncrasies that makes America fun.it's a tiny stop at the intersection of Virginia 16, U.S. 19, and U.S. 460 Business. The origin of its name is a matter of conjecture, probably having to do with the fog coming in over Plum Creek so low it's at "frog level." The main attraction is the Frog Level Service Station which is one of the oldest Taverns in Virginia and features a bar serving a wide variety of beers. There are about 40 members of the "Frog Level Yacht Club," and it's a good place to pick up a commemorative tee-shirt you won't find elsewhere.
